The wooden bench seating underneath the lychgate in the cemetery needed urgent attention, and a member of the Parish Council kindly volunteered to take this on.
We’re pleased to say it has now been removed and replaced with well-supported seating which will be sturdy and safe for many years to come.
The same resident kindly offered to sand and repaint the large double gate and this has also now been done.
Huge thanks to Roy and Barbara Wilkes for making this happen – visitors to the cemetery will benefit enormously from this work.
